Why Habitat For Humanity Works Undergo a rigorous selection process that identifies worthy candidates who are likely to succeed. Participate in financial skills training that prepares them for home ownership and improves their credit score.
Provide sweat equity alongside other volunteers to help build shelter for themselves or others making them part of the Habitat Community.
Pay an affordable mortgage that over time builds wealth and breaks the cycle of poverty.
Habitat For Humanity offers an empowerment program not an entitlement program, providing a hand up, not a handout.
