ABOUT US

Since 1995, Capital Region Habitat for Humanity has been building more than homes—we’re building stability, self-reliance, and community across central New Hampshire.

We are a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 U.S. states and in approximately 70 countries worldwide.
Habitat’s vision is simple yet powerful: a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
WHAT WE DO

Habitat works toward this vision by partnering with families in need of safe, affordable housing—offering a hand up, not a handout. Families work alongside volunteers to help build their own homes, investing sweat equity in every step. In return, they purchase the home through an affordable, no-interest mortgage, creating a path toward long-term stability.

WHAT WE DO HABITAT IS MORE THAN CONSTRUCTION

From revitalizing neighborhoods to restoring peace of mind, we believe in the power of housing to change lives. Our efforts are guided by core values of strength, stability, and self-reliance, and grounded in a mission of service and community connection.
LOCAL IMPACT WITH A GLOBAL MISSION

At Capital Region Habitat, we focus on both new home builds and critical home repair projects that improve safety, accessibility, and comfort for homeowners in our region. Our work is powered by a dedicated community of volunteers, donors, sponsors, and partner families.

Mortgage payments from partner families are reinvested through our Fund for Humanity, allowing us to help more families year after year.
